New Year Challenges, aka: “I need to throw myself into uncomfortable places… and somehow have fun while I’m there.”😅

New Year Challenges

So. It’s 2026. The year I stop talking about “starting” and actually start. Shocking behaviour, I know.

If you read my last article (the one that was, naturally, all about me), you’ll know the decisions have already been made. The vibe for this year is action — one step at a time, like a responsible adult… but with better outfits.

First things first: I’m officially putting an end to my nonsense — the endless internal monologues, the ridiculous overthinking, the “whatever is my life” commentary I keep narrating to myself. Instead of spiralling, I’m taking responsibility: doing the work, showing up, and creating a new chapter. Sounds great, right? Very “38-year-old woman speaking now, my friend” energy. 💅

Maybe this is just New Year motivation talking. Maybe it’s real. Maybe it’s both. Honestly? I don’t care anymore. 😒

Because let’s be honest: nobody truly cares about my lovely little complaints, my internal investigations, or the chaos happening in my head — and frankly, they shouldn’t. So I’ve decided to play the game with the official rules everyone’s been using…👩🏻‍💻

BUT. Here’s what you need to learn about me: I’m not the one who follows rules. I’m the one who changes them. Or creates a new one. 😎💋💃🏻

(Wow. That sounded cool, didn’t it?)

(Oh yes!!! — see, still talking to myself. This definitely needs to stop.)

A public declaration from a woman who’s had enough 🦸🏻‍♀️

This post is basically my official announcement:  a woman in the 21st century, unemployed for nearly a year, deciding to stop sitting on the bench and finally start playing the game by the rules of the world. After a year of mental blackouts, crying, shouting, panic attacks, tiny sparks of happiness, crumbs of joy — and the biggest issue of all: not having enough fun. Somewhere between all of that, I realised something: I’ve turned into a woman who questions herself even more. Which is impressive, because I was already elite-level at that.

But the decisions I’ve made at the end of this chaotic season?

I genuinely feel like 2026 is the year I make life fun again and finally get my shit together.

(About time, honestly.) 😌✨

Welcome to Fallen Cherries🍒

From now on, on Fallen Cherries, you’ll still get fashion writing (obviously), with a few mini existential check-ins — because I’m not a robot and I refuse to pretend I am.

Here’s what you’ll see:

styling ideas (wearable, not “runway in a wind tunnel”)

products I genuinely love (not “gifted”, not “obsessed”, not lying)

trend observations (the fun ones and the ones that make us all look like lampshades)

places I visit

and yes… food photos everyone posts (and yes, I will post them too — I’m not above it 🍝📸)

And I can already hear you: “Okay but we can get all of this anywhere. Everyone does that.”

Yes. I know. I’m aware. Calm down, people! 🤫

The difference: I’m not here to sell you a fantasy 😎

Because here’s the thing: a lot of people are lying. Did you know that? 😏

So why not look at fashion through the eyes of someone who’s borderline obsessed with her relationship with reality? What’s exaggerated? Where are we being sold illusions? And even if it’s uncomfortable — how well can we accept it and still move forward?

The topic is fashion — but honestly, even in fashion… do we really want to believe in illusions and lies?

Do we truly need expensive, “unreachable” brands to look good and — more importantly — to feel good? Or can we be good as ourselves… both in our appearance and in our soul? 🤓

I guess we’re going to start this journey together and figure out the answer together.

2026: the year I open up and move🤸🏻‍♀️

For me, 2026 is the year of opening up, stepping out, and moving. I hope you’ll join me on this ride with your own decisions too.

And just so we’re clear: what you’ll read here won’t be fake perfection, sponsored nonsense, or curated lies. You’ll get real opinions, real suggestions, and real thoughts from me. So, if you want the truth, you’re in the right place. If you’re looking

for fantasy… Netflix is that way. 😎

I also hope this becomes a space where you can laugh, enjoy, and genuinely have a good time. While the world is spinning into madness, there’s just Iraz — in her little corner, with her laptop, trying to turn a dream into something real. And I hope I get to share it all with you… if you read, and if you like what I write. 🤍

So… shall we begin?

Let’s fall the cherries. 🍒✨
